Project Description
From Rags to Riches
From a tiny miner’s cottage to a tiny, yet adorable and highly efficient home, this sweet abode won the lottery when it’s owner took it all down to the studs and started over. It looks small, but lives large, with every inch of space being utilized and opening up to a sun drenched kitchen/dining addition on the back. Designed with love and attention to detail, the homeowner added a peekaboo window in the upper bathroom that showcases the iconic smokestack of 311 Mapleton. A few years after this remodel we built a garage in back off the alley, a hard to find asset in Newlands. Now this little home stands proudly near the top of Alpine, it’s inviting front porch calling out to the cyclists and joggers as they huff and puff their way to 4th street. (Rob is one of those huffers and puffers, he lives about two blocks away and can be seen most evenings trekking the Newlands hills with his dogs.)
